Limited Response from Parliamentarians, Salman Akram Raja Expresses Anger

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) called on its parliamentarians to gather outside the Islamabad High Court for a protest, but despite the call, a large number of party lawmakers did not turn up.Only Salman Akram Raja, Ali Muhammad Khan, and Shafqat Ayaz reached the Islamabad High Court, prompting Salman Akram Raja to express strong displeasure over the absence of party parliamentarians.Salman Akram Raja said, “I pleaded with them repeatedly to come outside the High Court.”He said important points regarding the health of PTI founder Imran Khan were to be submitted today, questioning, “Where are all these people? Why didn’t they come?”Salman Akram Raja further said that he would name the parliamentarians who failed to attend the protest, adding that he also knew who did not come forward on August 5.The limited turnout following PTI’s protest call has once again raised questions about party organization and the participation of its parliamentarians.
