A high-level joint delegation of the Government of Balochistan and the Balochistan Assembly held separate meetings with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in Islamabad, urging the federal government to accelerate development projects, strengthen security, and fulfill its commitments to the province.
The discussions focused on the overall law and order situation in Balochistan, ongoing development projects, public welfare, federal-provincial coordination, and other issues of mutual interest. The delegation also highlighted the province’s development priorities and called for greater federal support to address long-standing challenges.
The delegation included Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly Captain (Retd.) Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai, Member of the National Assembly Jamal Shah Kakar, Provincial Minister for Food Noor Muhammad Dummar, Provincial Minister for Education Raheela Durrani, Provincial Minister for Revenue Mir Muhammad Asim Kurd Gello, Provincial Minister for Fisheries and Coastal Development Barkat Ali Rind, Provincial Minister for Culture, Tourism, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Nawabzada Muhammad Zareen Khan Magsi, and Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Muhammad Khan Lehri.
Members of the Balochistan Assembly Zarak Khan, Ashok Kumar, Dr. Rubaba, Hadiya Nawaz, and Muhammad Khan Toor also attended the meetings and presented issues relating to their constituencies, public welfare, parliamentary affairs, and provincial development.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Speaker Ayaz Sadiq reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to supporting peace, sustainable development, good governance, and public welfare in Balochistan. They emphasized the importance of stronger coordination between the federation and the province and agreed to enhance cooperation for the timely implementation of development initiatives.
The parliamentary delegation appreciated the federal government’s efforts for Balochistan’s development and expressed satisfaction with the ongoing projects while urging Islamabad to further strengthen the pace of development and ensure the fulfillment of provincial commitments.
The delegation also commended Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their diplomatic efforts, describing the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding as a significant step toward regional peace and stability.
The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to promoting sustainable development, public welfare, democratic values, effective legislation, and stronger federal-provincial cooperation for the progress and prosperity of Balochistan.
