ISLAMABAD (MNN); The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) has partnered with courier and logistics company TCS to introduce “Passport Aapki Dehleez Par”, a nationwide home delivery service aimed at providing passports directly to applicants at their preferred addresses.
According to a press release issued on Saturday, the initiative is designed to improve public service delivery by offering citizens a more convenient and efficient way to receive their passports without making additional visits to passport offices.
The service was formally launched during a meeting held at the DGIP headquarters, where senior officials from both organisations discussed measures to modernise passport services and strengthen service delivery.
Speaking at the launch, TCS Chief Executive Officer Hassan Raza Leghari said the company is committed to supporting digital governance initiatives and delivering citizen-focused services.
“TCS is proud to partner with DGIP in providing this essential public service at citizens’ doorsteps,” he said.
Leghari noted that passports are highly confidential and sensitive documents, adding that TCS will utilise its nationwide logistics network to ensure secure, safe and timely delivery across the country.
The meeting also reviewed broader areas of collaboration between DGIP and TCS, including efforts to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience and establish secure delivery mechanisms as TCS assumes its role as the department’s official logistics partner.
Director General Immigration and Passports Muhammad Ali Randhawa said the initiative reflects the department’s commitment to making passport services more accessible, efficient and citizen-friendly.
He said home delivery would reduce unnecessary visits to passport offices while ensuring applicants receive their passports through a secure and seamless process.
Earlier in May, the DGIP had announced plans to introduce nationwide passport home delivery and launch a chatbot to assist applicants with passport-related services and information.
