In a significant facilitation measure for prospective Hajj pilgrims, the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has directed all Regional Passport Offices across Pakistan to prioritize the issuance and renewal of passports for applicants intending to perform Hajj 2027.
The directive was issued following a request from the Ministry of Religious Affairs to ensure that eligible pilgrims are able to complete the Hajj registration process without delays caused by passport-related issues.
Under the new instructions, applicants whose passports are set to expire before November 16, 2027, will be provided expedited passport renewal services. The move is aimed at enabling pilgrims to complete Hajj registration and subsequent formalities well within the required timelines.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has already announced that registration for Hajj 2027 is mandatory, and a valid Pakistani passport will be required at the stage of submitting the final Hajj application.
The Ministry has advised all intending pilgrims to renew their travel documents as early as possible to avoid any inconvenience during the registration process.
In addition, passport offices both within Pakistan and at overseas missions have been instructed to give special attention to Hajj-related passport applications and process them on a priority basis, ensuring that all administrative requirements for Hajj 2027 are completed smoothly and without interruption.
