The joint training camp of the Pakistan and Iran national kabaddi teams continued with intensive and productive training activities on its second day.
Players from both national teams participated in a joint training session, focusing on modern game techniques, strategies, defensive and attacking skills, and competitive approaches.
The joint training camp aims to further strengthen Pakistan’s preparations for the 20th Asian Games, Aichi-Nagoya, Japan 2026, by providing the national kabaddi team with a high-quality international training environment.
Training alongside Iran’s national team is providing Pakistani players with valuable practical experience against a strong international side, which is expected to significantly contribute to their preparations for the Asian Games.
On the second day, Khalid Mahmood, Secretary General of the Pakistan Olympic Association, also visited the training camp. He met players, coaching staff and officials of both teams and reviewed the ongoing training activities.
Khalid Mahmood appreciated the hard work and preparations of the Pakistan national kabaddi team players.
The Secretary General of the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation and members of the Iranian delegation were also present on the occasion.
Officials from both countries welcomed the joint training activities, saying that such initiatives would further strengthen sporting ties and cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.
According to the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation, joint training with Iran is providing Pakistani players with valuable exposure to international-standard training, different styles of play, pressure situations, and opportunities to further improve their technical and physical abilities.
The federation termed the joint training camp an excellent example of friendship, cooperation and people-to-people relations between the two brotherly countries through sports.
The training activities, being conducted under the guidance and patronage of Pakistan Kabaddi Federation Chairman Chaudhry Shafay Hussain and President Chaudhry Salik Hussain, are expected to play an important role in preparing Pakistan’s national team for the upcoming Asian Games.
The Pakistan Kabaddi Federation also appreciated the support of the Pakistan Olympic Association, Pakistan Sports Board, Iran Kabaddi Federation, coaching staff of both teams, security agencies, media representatives and all supporting institutions.
The federation reaffirmed its commitment to providing quality training opportunities for the national team and further promoting sporting cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.
