MUZAFFARABAD (MNN); The Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) has announced candidates for 35 out of 45 constituencies for the upcoming Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) General Elections 2026, marking a major step in its election campaign.
The party tickets were formally distributed by IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan and President of IPP Azad Kashmir and former Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan during a ceremony attended by the party’s central leadership, election candidates and a large number of workers.
Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan will contest the elections from three constituencies—LA-15 (Central Bagh), LA-22 (Poonch-V) and LA-25 (Neelum-I).
The party has awarded tickets to Muhammad Maroof (LA-02), Tasleem Arif (LA-03), Taimoor Hassan (LA-04), Iftikhar Hussain (LA-05), Chaudhry Ali Shan Soni (LA-06), Raja Irfan (LA-07), Malik Zulfiqar Ali (LA-08), Tahir Fareed (LA-09), Malik Muhammad Yousaf (LA-10), Raja Muhammad Talib (LA-11), Sabiha Siddique (LA-12), Dr Nisar Anser Abdali (LA-13), Raja Faheem Farooq (LA-14), Chaudhry Ejaz Ahmad Khattana (LA-16), Chaudhry Amir Nazir (LA-17), Sardar Murtaza Ahmad (LA-18), Shehzad Aziz (LA-19), Bilal Shakeel (LA-21), Sardar Rais Inqalabi (LA-23), Sardar Inayatullah (LA-24), Sardar Tabarak (LA-27), Taqdees Gilani (LA-28), Saeed Awan (LA-29), Raja Mazhar Qayyum (LA-31), Abdul Qadeer Gujar (LA-35), Adeeb Anjum Butt (LA-36), Muhammad Tahir Khokhar (LA-39), Saleem Butt (LA-40), Saeed Ahmad Dar (LA-41), Bilal Butt (LA-42) and Hamza Bazmi (LA-43).
Party leaders said the remaining candidates for the other constituencies would be announced either later tonight or by tomorrow.
Speaking at the ceremony, IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan and AJK IPP President Sardar Tanveer Ilyas congratulated the nominated candidates and expressed confidence that they would run an effective election campaign.
The leadership reaffirmed the party’s commitment to strengthening its organisational structure in Azad Kashmir and preparing for a competitive contest in the upcoming general elections.
