During his service, departmental inquiries were also initiated against him over allegations of corruption and misconduct. The Islamabad High Court had declared his academic degrees fake in 2017 and ordered his dismissal. However, according to the court record, he was subsequently reinstated in the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and continued receiving government benefits. With the dismissal of his intra-court appeal, the court’s ruling now stands, paving the way for his removal from service, recovery of state benefits, and criminal proceedings by the FIA.
