The Benazir Income Support Programme has expanded its outreach by launching a Mobile Registration Van in Mansehra to facilitate registration for deserving families living in remote areas. BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid also reviewed the rollout of the Digital Wallet System and Benazir Mobile SIM distribution.
BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid visited the Benazir Income Support Programme office in Mansehra, where she inaugurated the Mobile Registration Van aimed at bringing registration services to the doorsteps of beneficiaries in underserved and hard-to-reach areas. MPA Mehr Sultana Advocate and other women leaders accompanied her during the visit.
Speaking on the occasion, Senator Rubina Khalid said the initiative would help ensure timely registration of eligible families and strengthen the delivery of social protection services across remote communities.
She later interacted with women beneficiaries, listened to their concerns, and directed officials to address their issues without delay. The Chairperson also briefed beneficiaries on the new Digital Wallet System, free Benazir Mobile SIMs, wallet activation, and the updated payment mechanism while reviewing the SIM distribution process.
She said financial assistance would now be transferred directly into beneficiaries’ digital wallets, allowing women to withdraw funds securely and conveniently from authorized retailers at any time.
Senator Rubina Khalid advised beneficiaries to obtain free Benazir Mobile SIMs only from BISP offices, bring their original CNIC and personal mobile phone for activation, avoid handing over their phones to agents during payments, and immediately report any deduction or irregularity through the BISP complaint mechanism.
